Wonders of the Small Church

The small church has incredible importance and value, although it may not carry the pomp of churches in Europe and elsewhere. I have one particular small church in mind: ours.

Holy Trinity celebrated its Patronal Feast day on the Great Feast of Holy Pentecost on Sunday, June 12, 2022. All the festal variables were sung during Diving Liturgy. Afterwards, Vespers of Holy Pentecost with the Kneeling Prayers was served. We were blessed to have 45 members, including children, with us on this joyous day. A festive luncheon took place in the church hall at the conclusion of Vespers. The buffet table was filled with homemade food.

Old friends and long-time supporters from the Boston area and upstate New York celebrated this day with us as well. After several years of separation due to covid, we were thrilled to have visits from George and Marie Giokas, as well as Deacon Andrey Sukharev and Alexandra and Anastasia Friar from Holy Resurrection in Allston, MA.  It was wonderful to see them all, and enjoy the blessings of the feast together!
