Saint Mary of Magdala

Saint Mary of Magdela is far more than just one of the Myrrhbearing Women the church remembers on the Third Sunday of Pascha; her life is of such great magnitude that it is referred to as the Primacy of Mary. That Mary of Magdala is venerated in the Orthodox, Roman Catholic, Lutheran, several Protestant churches, and even in the Baha’i Faith tradition, speaks of her prominence.

Holy Trinity Church's Ms Madegan Morrison left on Friday, April 5, 2013, for the Republic of China where she will be studying for two weeks. Madegan, 14, is one of seven students from the Capt. Nathan A. Hale Middle School in Coventry, CT, who has made the historic trip with Educational Tours based in Boston, MA.

One of the trip chaperones, Deborah Page, Vice Principal at Nathan Hale, will be keeping a blog while in China. We invite our friends to log into Ms Page's blog and follow Madegan's travels while in China.

We ask your prayers for Madegan and for her friends who are studying in China for the next 10 days, and that God will protect them while away and return them safely to their families and school communities.
