Holy Trinity celebrated the Great Feast of the Nativity of Our Lord Jesus Christ with Vigil and the Divine Liturgy of Saint Basil the Great. Our church was full of parishioners, as well as friends of Holy Trinity and guests.
There was a very prayerful feeling in our church that evening. Our choir sang beautifully, and all the servers and readers were serious as we celebrated our Lord's Incarnation. Visiting and serving on Christmas Eve was Sub-deacon Michael Andezjewski, a former University of Connecticut graduate, and currently at third year seminarian at Holy Cross Orthodox Seminary in Brookline, Massachusetts. Mike has one final semester to complete. He will earn his Master of Divinity degree in May, 2015.
 
At the conclusion of Liturgy, the church children presented Fr Marc with several gifts. They included a new laptop computer, ink cartridges, an external hard drive, and several reams of paper in order to help him complete his church work and correspondence.
 
"I am deeply humbled by the community's care for me," Fr Marc said. "There is a great bond of love which exists between those from our community. It is felt continuously felt in our little church. The gifts you present me with this evening are a reflection of what we all feel for one another. I feel like I can offer so little in return, with the exception of my on-going love for each of you."
